The city of Trail is situated on the Columbia River in the Rockies region of British Columbia, 18 kilometres north of the Canada-USA border. Known as “Home of Champions,” the city takes pride in its reputation for developing successful athletes, industries, and arts and education leaders. A regional financial and service centre, Trail is also home to one of the largest lead-zinc smelter complexes in the world. The Trail area boasts a moderate climate with warm summers and mild winters. Residents enjoy first-class recreational facilities, two excellent golf courses as well as nearby mountain biking, fishing, snowmobiling, and skiing.
