Role and Facility Information

Northern Health is seeking a Family Practitioner to provide LOCUM Primary Care and Emergency Room coverage in Chetwynd, BC. Enjoy working in a brand new 6000 square-foot primary care clinic with state-of-the-art technology!

The clinic features Inter-Professional Teams (IPT) including Mental Health & Addictions, Community Nursing and Public Health; with touch-down space for visiting specialties such as Occupational Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, etc.

This new primary care model focuses on patient-centred care that is accessible, coordinated, comprehensive and continuous. Quality improvement and patient safety are key areas of focus.

Assistance provided through Telehealth will be considered a viable option.

RGPLP daily rate for Chetwynd is: $1,141.

Local Resources

Lab, x-ray, mammography, blood bank, pharmacy, public health, home care nursing, home support, mental health & addictions, audiology, an aboriginal liaison worker and home visiting services such as nutritionist, rehabilitation.

Emergency Framework

Ambulance, paramedics will take on an expanded role in delivering some primary care services under the BC Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) program.
